My students are from a low socioeconomic, urban city. The young student leaders are eager to learn. They love school and the environment in the classroom. The students love reading, especially using online programs with Epic, IXL, and Freckle. However, the students do not have one-to-one devices.
The students and teachers participate in the Leader in Me program which teaches leadership skills to the students.
This program really helps students grow and learn adult social and behavioral skills. Most support for our students comes from the school and the school's staff members.
My students need traditional school supplies to help them be successful in school. Many parents in our area were hit hard from the coronavirus and need help paying for school supplies. These school supplies will help each and every student and students' families. My students will use spiral notebooks in every subject to take notes and complete assignments. They will use markers and highlighters to underline and highlight text information. They will use dry erase markers daily to complete math assignments on whiteboards.
Help give my students get necessary supplies in order to be successful at school and take their burden away from worrying about school supplies.
Students need necessary school supplies for any classroom to work including paper, glue, expo markers, and highlighters. Many parents have lost their jobs or have had a reduced income from the pandemic and need this help to provide for their child.
