Our school is a separate day program for children with emotional disabilities. Our students come from three different towns in central Indiana. Many times our students have experienced trauma and struggle in an academic setting and around peers.
Because of the disabilities my students have, they are behind academically.
Having a variety of items to help support the curriculum will encourage my students to stay focused.
With these changes, we have had to start a therapeutic program from scratch with little resources. We do not have a PTO and any resources will be directly helpful to our students.
My Project
Every year, students look forward to going to the store and picking out their school supplies for the year. However, what if your parent(s) told you they didn't have money to buy you school supplies who would you turn to?
In my classroom, I supply my students with new school supplies every year.
It is a day they all enjoy. Help me to supply the students who are unable to provide for themselves. They cherish these supplies and enjoy using them throughout the year. By giving to this project you will help them complete their activities all year long. The students are excited to return to school, will you be caring and help them get the tools they need in order to succeed?
