Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is an amazing place to be every day! My students are primarily English Language Learners from diverse countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Many of our students do not have access to basic school supplies, such as crayons, pencils, and paper. We strive every day to give our students the best education that we can possibly give them and to be the "most caring place on earth".
Our students are already trying to overcome so much by learning a new language that they really deserve to have the tools needed to be successful in school.
My Project
The supplies purchased here would provide my students with the foundational supplies that they will need throughout the school year to make this school year successful. My students work so hard to do well in school, that they should not be held back because they lack the basic school supplies. The students will use the folders and coloring supplies throughout the year for special projects and portfolios that they will be able to share with their parents on Student-Led Conference Days. The kids will be so excited to see new supplies come to the classroom which have been donated by people around the world.
