Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Remember the excitement over buying school supplies for the new school year? I would like my students to get the chance to start the school year with new supplies to enhance their learning.
I teach in the Boston Public Schools where the majority of students receive free or reduced priced lunch.
Our school has limited supplies to last the school year. Students cannot afford to bring in new supplies for the school year, so I would like to have the materials for them to start the year off right.
My Project
New notebooks and folders will allow students to be organized and keep track of their work for the year. The glue sticks will be used throughout the school year for various activities. The dry erase boards will allow students to instantly share their work with the class and get them excited about their learning. It will also make students excited about the school year that is coming.
This project is important because it prepares students for a successful school year.
Students will be enthusiastic about the year ahead and engaged in their learning. Every child should have access to new supplies for a school year, and I would like to provide this to my students.
