The students at my school are students that love to interact with electronics and work to gain an understanding of material but some do not have the materials needed. Students come from many ethnic backgrounds and this school works to promote a blended learning classroom and environment.
Students are encouraged to work in cooperative groups and to think critically and asks; how does the activity or question relate to real life.
As teachers we are always trying to incorporate ways to engage students and make sure they are learning. If students do not have the necessary supplies/materials then how can they work successfully?
Students come into middle school with anxiety and then to worry about supplies makes it worse; I am asking for a few things to add to what I try and keep on hand at the beginning of the year to help make my students succeed and feel good about themselves without worrying about do they have all the supplies or do they have to wait until next months check.
My Project
School Supplies for some parents or guardians are not a priority. Not having school supplies impacts a student academically, socially and emotionally.
Students can learn more effectively and be more successful if they have all the materials needed for the assignment or day.
I am asking for the basic classroom supplies that school districts do not provide.
The supplies will help to help make sure that my students can succeed in my class, school and to help a student socially and emotionally.
