Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher, in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students come to class every day happy to be there, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
I ask them, "What do you want to be" and they are excited to believe they can be anything they want.
I teach at a Title I school in Texas, where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Parents don't have much money and do the best they can. I want my students to have every advantage.
My Project
We are in a low income area and the parents can't afford to buy school supplies. We use a lot of things and need your help. I want my students to have every advantage possible. I do my best but still can't buy all the things we need. I hope you can help us provide for these students and let them learn and not always have to share everything. With a little help we can overcome a lot of classroom issues. My students enjoy making things and construction paper helps them accomplish these small things in the classroom. Thank you.
