Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic and motivated first graders ready to learn each and every day. They walk into my classroom each day with huge smiles on their faces, knowing they are entering a place where they are safe and loved - which is my ultimate goal as a teacher.
Our Title 1 school receives 100% free breakfast and lunch and many take home food bags for weekend.
Many students are ESOL and face hardships outside of the classroom. Despite coming from a challenging background my students are incredibly loving, have a passion for learning and deserve the very best!
My Project
Can you remember back to the first day of school, finally able to use the new supplies that you eagerly picked out? How exciting was it to begin the school year with those fresh supplies!
My scholars face so many challenges, but gaining access to quality school supplies should not be one of them!
They realize that education is the vehicle to drive them towards a more promising future - and having quality school supplies will help motivate them to do their very best work.
My students are in need of school supplies to help make their 2018-2019 school year a success. With your help, my students will have pens, crayons, sticky notes, paper, labels, and reusable dry erase pockets. These materials will be used daily in our classroom. I would love to have these supplies for my students to help them feel even more confident and excited to kick off a new school year!
