Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with all of our school receiving free breakfast and lunch. Our school is becoming much more diverse. Our classes serve students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorder and specific learning disabilities. Many of my students do not have enough food at home to eat. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can, so they can be successful one day.
My Project
I am looking to receive school supplies for my students to ensure success from day one in the classroom. Most of my students come from very low income families who are not able to supply school supplies for their students.
Receiving these school supplies would assist families in knowing that they are in our classroom ready to go.
I want to ensure success for every single student that comes through my classroom.
I want students to be able to learn in a positive environment and having these school supplies for day one of school would help out tremendously. This would also help all of the student's families that come to our school since most of them struggle with providing basic needs at home for them.
