This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! There are no other words to describe them. This year has seen unprecedented times and has been a challenge for not only teachers but students as well. Our Middle School is a Title I school and is among many to face different sorts of challenges throughout the year. Nevertheless, the students have shown perseverance through the entire year and are as eager to learn as ever.

My Project

As the community is aware, this year has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. The pandemic continues to bring challenges into the classroom but the students are continuing to push on. One thing that has been brought to my attention is that some of my students lack the basic needs to get through each school day. This can range anywhere from snacks to masks. Students who lack these supplies often suffer more setbacks in the classroom and are affected greater. These supplies will provide students with the necessary needs that must be met in order to create a safe, effective learning environment.
