My students need school supplies such as pencils, glue sticks, scissors, and more to start the new school year. Many of them can't afford to bring their own.
Coming to class without pencils, scissors, or glue can be tough on students and teachers too!
My 4th grade students live in a high-poverty area in Texas.
Many of them come to school facing every challenge you can imagine. The donation of these basic supplies will mean no more time spent scrounging for an elusive pencil or some other tool, and that time can be spent on valuable learning activities.
Having access to high-quality supplies will encourage my students to do their best. They will be able to use pencils that will withstand continual use. They will be able to express their creativity and participate in hands-on activities using the scissors, glue and colored pencils.
The addition of these supplies to our classroom will help us jump-start our year.
The requests may seem small and insignificant but will make a big impact on my students. Thank you!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
