School Supplies for Seniors to Thrive!

Help me give my students Crayola Colored Pencils, writing journals, expo markers, and more to keep their motivation up and thriving for their writing projects during the low part of our school year!

My Students

I work with amazing students in a lower income area. Despite the many challenges and obstacles these students endure, they always rise above the storms and continue towards their goals.

I am grateful to learn from my kids while I teach them the wonders of reading and writing.

Even though I have some students that prefer their trade program while others love science and math, or other subjects, they all seem to fall into the magic of books and literature and walk away with newfound knowledge of life itself.

I'd like to continue this with my project; to keep them engaged and enticed through the magic of imagination!

My Project

These supplies will be used in upcoming reading and writing units to improve my seniors' formal writing during the second semester of the school year. They will be working in groups to color code argument papers and piece parts of cut up essays together to put written content in the correct organizational order!

I'm really excited to help my kids improve their voices throughout the next few months!

Along with that, they will be using expo markers and white boards/erasers to outline their arguments and debates prior to writing and presenting to the class. I'm looking forward to a more interactive, less individual work with this writing unit to get them more engaged and involved!
