This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach 21 wonderful children.
The children in my classroom strive for excellence in their learning, no only in academics, but in themselves as well.
I teach at a Title I school in Missouri where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. I know that in years to come, my students will be doctors, lawyers, artists, hair stylists, and strive to never give up!
My Project
Students in my classroom need simple school supplies to help them succeed in class.
On average I have only 4 to 5 students that bring in school supplies to class each year.
I am left supplying materials for students so that they can come to class and feel confident and not have the burden of not having supplies. I am asking for 2 packs of spiral notebooks and a variety of pencils. I feel that by simply providing pencils and notebooks for my students, they will start to feel successful and confident in the classroom.
My students appreciate simple things such as these school supplies. Thank you for helping alleviate the stress of not having their school supplies.
