Help me give my students peace of mind regarding their school supplies. We will use the composition books as interactive notebooks for math and science. The other supplies will be used in support of the interactive notebooks.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I will be teaching 6th grade for the first time this year! I will teach math and science to about 80 low income students. Each of my students come from very diverse backgrounds. With each and every student comes social and emotional, as well as academic needs that need to be met.
My students already have to worry about goes on in their home, I don’t want them to have to be concerned about their school supplies as well.
I want to build an inclusive classroom that will make each and every one of my students feel welcome. Creating a positive association with school and their education is my ultimate goal.
My Project
The supplies provided by this project will aid in the education of my students. My students will use the interactive notebooks during math and science class everyday. With each specific lesson, the students will record their notes and examples of content being taught. By using interactive notebooks, the students are able to connect with the content and materials in a different way than traditional note taking strategies.
My students already have lots of things to worry about, school supplies should not be one of them.
By providing the supplies for my students, they can focus more in class and be concerned about one less issue in their lives.
