My students are amazing! I know you may have heard that before, but my students really are amazing. They are eager to learn, and I love teaching and learning with them every day! The students work hard to be successful.
My students, unfortunately, do not have many opportunities living in rural New Mexico.
They are members of the Navajo Nation, and I want to give them the best opportunity to succeed. All students receive a free lunch. Our school has some of the highest scores in our district, and students in my class scored with their grade level peers on the PARCC assessment last year.
My Project
I am requesting pencils and a sharper for our classroom because we are always in need of a pencil and a pencil sharpener that is fast and effective. I am also requesting file folders to help our classroom stay organized and efficient. Stools are for small group instruction and individual work time. We have some stools and the students gravitate towards them and I want to add a couple more to our classroom.
Providing students with a classroom that is not only welcoming but stocked with the necessities eases my students' minds and lets them focus on the fun part....learning!
These supplies and stools will help my students be successful in the classroom.
