DPA exists to provide a world-class, equitable education that will give all students a foundation of academic excellence and character development. DPA aims to foster a love of learning and a passion for exploring that will help students fulfill their extraordinary potential as learners, leaders, and world-changers.
As the School Social Worker, I help empower students to set personal goals and traverse seemingly insurmountable barriers.
My students are working on building social-emotional skills and becoming independent learners that thrive when faced with challenges. They are incredible human beings that are filled with potential to do great things. All they need is our support.
Stories are powerful. They have the ability to foster human connections, illuminate injustices, and bring deeper meaning to challenging moments. The Social Work Library will provide students with books that will be use in individual sessions, group sessions, and in classrooms. Each book has been selected to cover topics such as calm down skills, managing anger and depression, self-compassion, kindness, and friendship.
Help me create a library by donating the Compression Boat Lounger for Kids, Sensory Needs, or the book Feelings and Dealings: Color My Emotions.
Social emotional learning is a key component to a students academic success. The books in the Social Work Library serve as teaching tools that will help kids navigate barriers to school success. The Social Work Library will provide students with lessons for a lifetime!
