Our students are amazing, caring individuals. We are a Title 1 elementary school servicing K-6 grades, averaging about 500 students. We have 19 classroom teachers and great support staff. Our halls and classes are filled with an abundance of learning, laughing and love. We have a great community of support.
Our number one priority is our students.
We take our students' and staff's safety very seriously. We need them to feel safe in our care to ensure they are given the best learning environment.
My Project
Our students are a top priority to our teachers and staff. Their safety and well being is necessary for their learning. These door stoppers will allow the teachers to put a barrier between our precious students and any intruder who may enter our building. We never want to imagine the thought of something happening at our school to put our students in any danger. The reality is that we never know what might happen.
Having these barriers available will give us all a little peace of mind about the unknown.
These bars have been tested and proven to provide an extra amount of security to stop someone from entering a room.
We feel the teachers and parents alike will be more comfortable and at ease with their students at school with this extra security measure available.
