Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This classroom set of guitars will help support the music program at our school in Providence, RI. With the addition of a guitar course, students will be able to further their music education by putting their knowledge and skills to the test by learning a musical instrument in depth. The equipment chosen has been selected with my students needs in mind to help them grow and thrive at levels I know they can achieve!

With the materials received here on DonorsChoose, a guitar class for my students will be possible which will help elevate school climate and culture.

Through practice and perseverance, students will work towards performances throughout the school year in which they will be able to share their abilities with their school community. They have already shown a great interest in enhancing their musical instrument skills, so I know a guitar course will help the right group of students explore their interests and find a passion.
