This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Every day my students are learning and practicing to be the best elementary school rock band in Central Florida.

How many elementary school music programs do you know that features 21st-century digital technology to enhance student rigor and creativity?

My school has a pleasant atmosphere in an ever-changing area.

It's a small population of kids with unique talents. Some of my kids love to beat rhythms on any surface. Others love to sing and perform in front of others. My kids want to see what it's like to be in a live band.

My Project

We have already received beautiful, high quality, speakers from our donors. Now we need a mixer to be able to control the overall volume. My students can already hear themselves play with the speaker.

With this mixer, my students will learn what true blending of sound is like.

The mixer controls what instruments needs to be attenuated, or turned down so that their particular sound will blend in harmony with the rest of the ensemble.

The students learn first hand what a beginning mix engineer does when handling live sound while the rest of the band is playing out live.
