Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach technology applications to 6th through 8th graders in a low income middle school.
My goal is for my students to learn and understand how to use technology in order for them to activate their critical thinking skills and solve problems.
My students are always eager to come to my class because they know they will have the opportunity to use professional grade technology hardware and software to create fun and meaningful real world projects.
My Project
This equipment will allow my students to tap into their creativity and technical skills in order to produce an engaging and informative school news channel.
I want my students to practice their organizational and presentation skills using a variety of broadcasting news equipment.
We are in need of a microphone and lighting equipment to take this news channel to the next level. I want to include and accommodate more students into the productions process.
This will allow me to put students into teams and give them the opportunity to lead and seek different roles within our news show.
