I have the privilege of teaching a group of wonderfully diverse students. I teach students with special needs. I teach students who have IQs higher than mine. I teach students that come from loving families. I teach student who hear gun shots at night. I teach students who can't afford yearbooks and students who buy extra yearbooks for their friends.
We are a suburban school that buses students in from the city.

My Project
In collaboration with a few of my colleagues, we have drafted an idea to have a school news program for next year. We each have a homeroom class and we would like to work together to create the daily news broadcast so that students will be active participants in the daily announcements.
Our students will learn the different parts of creating a news broadcast through their work on these projects, from filming to lighting to editing, the students are going to be hands-on with their learning.
My part of this project requests the iPad we will be filming with, in addition to two smaller cameras with cases so that students can film in other parts of the building.
