Our school is located in a small community on Long Island, New York. Our population is diverse and unique. We are fortunate to have teachers who are creative, caring, and attentive to student needs. Our students have access to many materials that teachers spend hours perfecting for use.
Our students deserve materials that are durable and engaging.
Students have daily opportunities to interact with what they are learning through hands-on methods. We want to ensure these materials withstand the use of multiple classes and can make it through more than one year.
When students use materials they are able to manipulate and move, they are active participants in their learning. This aids in their engagement and strengthens retention of the topic. We are trying to raise funds to replace a much loved and much-used laminator for our teachers and staff at our school.
Learning should be fun!
Lamination allows students to write directly on a hand-out with dry erase. Lamination allows anchor charts to last through the unit. It also allows teacher-made materials to be ready for use on more than one occasion.
We hope to use this laminator in our K-8 school, with 750 students and over 100 teachers, so students of all ages have materials that are durable, creative, engaging, and fun!
A laminator is an essential piece of equipment in our building and we hope you can make a donation to help purchase a new one.
