My Students

I am so blessed to have loving and caring students, who work hard to accomplish their academic goals. A part of my third-grade students come from a low-income household. Even though, some of them do not have the support or receive help with their assignments at home, they try their best to complete their assignments. They walk in smiling and ready to learn.

After what’s going around the world , it is scary for them to go enjoy play time outside.

Many of my students enjoy being read aloud, but many of the books provided have already been read previously. Other books are not in their reading level. They come from financially struggling families. Many are living with other family members and struggling to get back on their feet. Even then, my students haven't lost their motivation to do well in their academics. They come to school every day ready to learn.

My Project

In my project, I have added supplies that we use everyday. One of the materials that we use the most is glue. Usually we ask for certain amount of glue sticks; currently, my students share liquid them. At this time, we have ran out of glue. We use glue or tape for our reading and writing journals. Many of my students have ran out of glue even before the Christmas break. I bought extra glue but not enough to last for the rest of the school year.

Our school, due to budget reasons, has cut out the printing paper they used to provide for us.

Now, we only get one box per semester! That is not enough. Even though we do a lot of hands on activities for district and state testing, copies are a must! I also like running Thanksgiving packets, Christmas activities, Spring break, and summer activities for them because if they don’t practice, they forget.

I have also included in my project some everyday materials for the classroom like staples, tape, White-out, motivation pencils, color pens, and scrissors. These material will help me provide a great learning experience.
