School Library Colored Printer to Enhance Our Projects!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I neighborhood school where all students receive two free meals a day. Part of our Title money goes to school supplies and backpacks at the beginning of the school year. Our students receive two free meals a day, as well as a snacks.

Colored illustrations on cover pages will enhance students' published work.

My library budget affords me with enough money for 1 discounted book order per year.

My Project

In my library, I would use the colored printer for various projects such as: book reports, poetry writing, science projects, biographies, president and state research projects. The printer would also make our classroom yearbooks. Many of these projects can originate in the classroom and get published in the library.

A colored printer & scanner will aid me in the library with labels, signs, banners, images, newsletters and advertisements.

As a teacher, having a colored template to have as a colored example for visual learning students is essential. Currently 18 teachers do not have access at school to a colored printer to aid them.

Having a colored printer will be both an asset to our library and school community, making it a great educational tool.
