Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This is my third year of teaching and my students are an absolute delight to teach. They are some of the sweetest, kindest, and most zealous children I know. They give a hundred percent every time they walk through my classroom doors. Even though, I have a few language barriers it does not stop them from giving their best.

My students come from a low-income background and this school gives them all the opportunity to grow and nurture their numerous gifts and talents.

My Project

I believe that children should have an opportunity to learn not just at school, but also at home. The Family Engagement Pack will help my kindergarteners do just that. It is a fun and engaging learning tool that will help them to develop the skills and knowledge they need for first grade.

The pack has everything families need to practice rhyming, vocabulary, letter sounds, and recognition at home.

This tool will give my students additional learning opportunities at home. In the past few months, I have seen how my students have learned and grown, and I know with the Family Engagement Pack, they will grow even more.
