Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is so lucky to have so many students that are interested in gardening! Since we have so many interested students we need to get even MORE gardening supplies to help sustain all of our helper gardeners.
This project will help provide kids-sized gardening gloves as well as extra trowels and plant support systems so that our students can all work on our school garden together as a community.
Our students have watched and taken care of our plants as we grew them from seed; speaking positively to them, singing to them, and making sure they had enough sun and water to grow big and strong for our garden this year. I would love to support their love for the garden by ensuring we have enough materials for everyone to participate together in this experience.
