Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
When you first walk into my class/lab you will realize that there are 300 unique students. They all come from different backgrounds and deserve to have the best so they can make a difference in the world.

Our school is a low resource school. Each student has a story. Some of them come from really rough homes where school is usually not the first thing on their mind. Others, they come from very loving homes but still have many struggles at home. No matter what the differences are, they have learned that we are a family and they treat each other with that respect. They are a wonderful group of students who are eager to learn.
My Project
Our school host many different types a fundraisers. The favorite one amongst the students is the penny drive. The student council hosts this event and the students in the school go crazy over it. Students bring in buckets of spare change to try to beat the other grade levels. At the end of the fundraiser we are left with thousands of coins to sort through. With this coin sorter, counter, and roller, it will help the students get a quick and accurate count of the coins. Since the coin sorter can count by denominations, it will help them figure how to score the penny drive. With our other fundraisers we deal with lots of cash. The bill sorter will help us keep an accurate record. School fundraisers bring money to our building so that the students get new playground equipment. With these tools we can help the whole process go smoother. I know the student council students will be so excited that they no longer have to count every coin by hand for the penny drive.
