Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I (school counselor) am trying to build my school counseling office into an inclusive, safe space for all students at my school. I am looking to expand my toolkit so all students that come to my office have access to a plethora of materials and resources to support their academic, personal/social and career development.

With these items requested (bean bag chair & party favors), students will be able to focus their attention and feel supported in their learning and development.

My students at my school are so special because they come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of them come from low socio-economic home environments, however, they have big smiles and big hearts each day they are at school.

All in all, with the adequate tools and supports for my school counseling office, students can feel supported and have the confidence in their abilities.
