My Students

My students are full of energy and life. Middle school aged students are such a fun yet vulnerable age. They want to make a difference, but they are still struggling to find their own places in the world.

This age group is so special in that they are figuring out how to work together and how to be comfortable in their own skin.

I am so lucky to get to work with them, and they definitely deserve a comfortable place to come and talk about whatever is weighing on their minds.

My Project

These bean bag chairs will be used by students when they come to talk with me about anything that is weighing heavy on their minds. Students at the middle school level need a place that they can be themselves. Having comfortable seating is a great way to start making students feel safe.

I want to help students develop into the best versions of themselves and having a warm, comfortable, and inviting space for them is one way I can reach that goal.

If students are drawn to the space and the furniture in my office/classroom, they will be more likely to stop and visit, which in turn will lead to me helping more students.
