Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom is located in a middle school in a very low-income area of our city. My kids usually have a difficult time acquiring even the most basic of educational supplies such as paper and pencils, never mind creative supplies such as calculators, paper, markers, and colored pencils.

They are great kids that can really benefit from extra school supplies at their disposal.

Each day our kids come to school and are usually unprepared for the day. Whenever a teacher can provide missing resources, it is a win for them.

My Project

This project will make a difference to our students because it will provide them with a new resource that they can enjoy and be proud of. Many of the materials and resources we have are used or second hand.

These t shirts and 1/4 zip will be given out to students that come from low income homes and that need a new piece of clothing.

New clothes can mean a great deal to our students and give them a sense of pride. These apparel items will really make them happy and will help advance their academic career through a positive attitude
