Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love my students so much. The year so far with them has been amazing. They are very well behaved and are eager to learn. They follow directions and complete assigned tasks. They make sure that they are in school on time.

They are working hard each day to become avid readers.

They are helpful to me and each other. My students know and understand the importance of their education. They have goals and they are striving to do their best every day.

My Project

Scholastic News will give my students a chance to explore the world through non fiction reading. The students will use this resource to help them learn more about different things and gain readings skills that will help them in all aspects of learning. The students will also have access to a digital component of Scholastic as well. This will allow them to read articles at home and complete games and quizzes that go with the article. My students will also be able to share what they know about the different topics. This will solidify their learning and move from just reading to reading comprehension.
