My Students

I work at a small public school that has been through literal fiery trials and has come out stronger for it. Through hardships, our small community, school, and students have all grown closer together to become what resembles a cohesive family. I have truly been blessed to work with these bright-minded students.

Each student brings their vibrant and unique personalities into the classroom.

This joyous tapestry results in a better educational experience for all. Through our many different classroom lessons and projects, each student brings their own perspectives on how to meet the challenges before them. With the right resources, I will be able to apply each student's individual interests in order to put together a better learning experience for all.

My Project

I have worked with Scholastic News in the past and was astounded by its benefits. I find that Scholastic News is an invaluable resource that brings current events into the classroom in a kid-friendly manner.

Scholastic News is a Weekly Magazine containing current events ranging from politics to scientific breakthroughs.

It doesn't only provide a cross-curricular reading activity but also comes with many different assignments, like letters to the author, small research papers, opinion writing, and much more. Scholastic News provides some of the best graphic organizers that I have worked with that assist in meeting all students' needs.

With your help, I hope to be able to bring Scholastic News to my first and second graders. I have no doubt that they will benefit immensely with all the knowledge they will receive from this indispensable resource.
