My Students

My students are excited to learn and engage in discussion regarding our learning. Our elementary school has a large military family population which comes with many challenges and rewards. My students are twenty-five active learners who are helping to develop our classroom community while learning about what is happening in the world around them. They are hardworking, respectful, and persevering learners that are making a difference in their local and global communities. I believe that these kids will change the world.

My Project

Through your generosity my students will have access and a subscription to Scholastic News magazines. They will each receive a paper copy as well as an online version in order to have access to a wide variety of high interest texts that will increase their reading skills while they learn about science, technology, history, art, health, and much more! We will use Scholastic News as a tool to guide our learning of current new events while working on comprehension, development of Non-fiction reading with strategies and fluency. My students are the best class ever and are extremely excited to use Scholastic News this coming year.
