My Students
My third grade students are eager to learn! They come from different backgrounds and each child brings something special to the classroom. They come to school each day excited and ready to learn about the world around them.
My students are also learning and practicing their roles as positive and active citizens in our community.
This project would allow students to stay engaged in our world in a meaningful way and will build their background knowledge to provoke deeper thinking and spark ideas as to how they can contribute to our community and world.
My Project
We live in a fast-paced and quickly changing world. My students are very curious and inquisitive about the world around them. They want to be active in the school and community and have many talents that will benefit our world. They enjoy learning through exploration, reading, technology, and working with their peers.
These magazines will provide an opportunity for students to learn about the world around them in a kid-friendly manner that is engaging and appealing to third graders.
We will use these magazines to facilitate discussions in the classroom about current events. The students will be interested in the articles because their are videos that are related to each article. These videos will be shown to activate prior knowledge and interest before reading the magazines.
