My students need a classroom subscription to Scholastic Scope magazine to use for up-to-date Language Arts lessons.
My school has a decent amount of old Scope magazines, but I would like my students to have some more up-to-date resources. I would love to use current events to teach concepts in my Language Arts classroom.
I teach 6th graders in Maryland.
They are really fun and active kids who really enjoy learning. Every time I give them an article or text about current events, they are excited to know that it is real. I would love to give them more of what they love!
The Scholastic Scope magazine provides up-to-date articles, stories, and other texts for students to use. The activities that can be done with the magazines are endless. They can be used to prompt writing assignments, analyze text structures, expose them to cultures, current events, etc., and simply get them more interested in reading. I would love to purchase them for my students to give them up-to-date texts to read, write, and reflect on.
My kids will be able to use these magazines in countless ways.
The more resources I can get in order to instill in them a love and understanding of reading and writing, the better!
