Help me give my students high-interest news magazines that keep students up to date on current events. These colorful, kid-friendly magazines will help children learn about the world around them.

I teach reading and writing to two classes of third grade students. Our school has a diverse population with students from over 15 countries. Many students are learning English as a second language (ESOL).
Our students are bright, engaged with learning, curious, and hard-working.
I would like to continue to provide them with opportunities for high-interest, challenging literature. Our students love to read and some have limited access to high-interest level texts - which they need to improve as readers and writers.
The parrots in the pictures are where our students wrote their hopes and dreams for their futures. Please help support them in accomplishing their goals!
I teach reading and writing to third grade students in Silver Spring, Maryland. Scholastic magazines are an excellent way to teach nonfiction reading and writing skills to students. Students are motivated to read nonfiction and engage with the text. They love to debate the topics presented in the articles.
Students cannot wait until the magazines are delivered!
They love that the magazines show current events, opportunities to learn about what other kids are doing around the world, and present a variety of different topics. These magazines are excellent resources for teaching nonfiction text features, opinion/persuasive writing, and inspiring students to create their own projects. Please help us subscribe!
