I teach at a tiny, rural, Title I school, in a very small town in Vermont. The classrooms are all multi-age, and the staff is very few. Many things beyond their control have impacted their learning successes.
The students are creative, fun and struggle with focusing on core academic areas.
They enjoy learning, but often social and emotional needs directly impact their academic success. The kiddos are like brothers and sisters in this tiny school!
My Project
These Scholastic Magazines are so much fun to look forward to. Students love reading them in partners, in small groups and even alone. The print version of the magazines are fun to page through, and learn more about informational non-fiction text features. The digital version provides even more engaging materials to help students deepen their knowledge.
Scholastic Magazines are one of my favorite teaching tools.
Even the most reluctant student finds something interesting to learn about in every issue. With the digital version providing multi-media, it helps keep everyone engaged and learning all year long.
