Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten students are full of excitement for learning! They love to learn through movement, songs, exploration, and hands-on experiments and materials. Students in my class are valued, and we promote a learning environment where students learn to value each other.
Many of my students are English language learners and come from a low socio-economic background.
However, this is not an obstacle to success in our classroom. We build a classroom community where all students can learn, succeed, and celebrate each other's strengths.
My Project
Let's Find Out and Science Spin Scholastic Magazines are amazing, high-quality learning tools for our students. Students are truly engaged in their learning when it is time to use this amazing resource in class as well as at home.
Not only are the magazines bright and colorful with many high quality photographs, but Scholastic also provides the students with many interactive online resources such as learning videos and interactive games to extend the learning.
This helps the learning to continue, even at home. Our Kindergarten team would love to allow our students to access these magazines to promote literacy as well as a love for learning Science and Social Studies.
