My Students

I teach an all day, everyday, kindergarten class in a Title I funded school. More than 50% of my students receive free or reduced lunch. My students are excited about learning to read!

We read Scholastic News Magazine Let's Find Out every Friday.

This is a great way to include nonfiction literature in our reading program. The students love reading about REAL places, animals and people!

Access to nonfiction literature will help my students practice reading at their independent level and help them gain more confidence in reading!

My Project

My students need access to nonfiction reading material at the emergent stage of literacy. Scholastic Magazine - Let's Find Out is an online resource that fills this need. My students are able to hear the magazine read aloud, participate in interactive learning games, and watch educational videos at school and at home. This is an amazing reading tool. The students love to read about the world around them.

We are a Title I School. More then 60% of the students receive free or reduced lunch at our school. We love reading this magazine. We look forward to reading the latest issue every Friday. Please consider helping my kindergarten class.
