My Students
My students are inquisitive and loving third graders who enjoy coming to school to learn every day. They are passionate about their academics and despite many obstacles, they strive to persevere and be the best they can be.
Our school is a Title 1 public New York City school located in the Bronx with 98% of students coming from low-income households and receiving free lunch.
My students come from various cultural backgrounds and speak many languages. They face many economic hardships which make it difficult for their parents to provide basic necessities. The projects I create on their behalf will supplement their learning experiences throughout the year.
My Project
Our resources are limited and we need your help. We need a class set of Scholastic News magazines that we'll be using to learn about local, national, and international news. Without these precious magazines, we are not able to be exposed to everything going on in the world around us.
We are kindly requesting help in funding a class subscription of Scholastic News Magazines.
My hope is that I can guide my students and continue developing their love of reading and school. Quality reading materials have become difficult to acquire for our Title One school. My students are wonderful and it is a pleasure being their teacher year after year. I hope that with your generous help, I can give all my students access to a quality education.
