My Students
Our STEM academy scholars are an awesome group! We strive to go beyond the traditional method of teaching by integrating project-based and problem-solving learning that allow our Scholars to explore the engineering process and develop our Scholars for future needs in all careers.
Our Scholars design, construct, and build real-world projects out of recycled goods and resources provided from the Project Lead the Way, Engineering is Elementary, Scratch Junior, and LEGO curricula.
The STEM Academy is dedicated to providing students with an A+ education with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and we share new educational opportunities with the Frayser area.
Our school day is from 7:30 am-3:30 pm. All of our students receive free lunch. Students are engaged in learning activities with lectures, guided practice, discussions, independent assignments and workshops starting upon arrival lasting throughout the day!
I love the spark inside each student. Each of them are unique individuals traveling distinct paths in life. As their reading teacher, I have the pleasure of preparing students for a successful academic career and helping students to become lifelong learners!
My Project
Having classroom mailboxes will help us sort, store, and organize students' mail such as graded papers. These tools will allow me to store, manage, and find each student's materials expeditiously.
I will save time managing materials and have more time to provide quality instruction.
The mailboxes have commercial-grade steel shell with heavy-duty corrugated fiberboard shelves and solid fiberboard back provide stability and durability for long-lasting use.
The pencil sharper will allow for quick and efficient sharping of pencils. When pencils can be sharpened quickly, this again allows for more time to be spent with students engaging in quality instruction and activity during school hours.
