My student athletes are in middle school. The students' inquiry into cross country is what led to the creation of the District Cross Country league. We are committed to creating lifelong learners and go-getters as the student athletes continue to apply themselves in various settings.
Our cross country team consists of 200 remarkable individuals.
We cover every corner of the world, with at least 4 different languages spoken amongst the students athletes and students with exceptional needs. Our district cross country program ensures that our students needs and wants are met when it comes to development and growth.
The district Cross Country program serves 8 middle schools and 8 K-8 schools. The goal is to reach out to all students regarding of their backgrounds because this is the place where diversity is utmost welcomed and valued.
My Project
Our district cross country league is still in its infancy. This season we have identified the issues that needs to be addressed ASAP. We are asking for a race clock timer along with a take-number ticket system. This would help students gain visual of their running. Parents can be more informed of the time as the practices or races progress. In addition, coaches are able to track and account of each student athlete running time. It will allow for greater participation, program satisfaction and growth. Please stride with us, as we move forward improving of our program, and enriching the student athletes experiences. We serve very diverse groups of students and these items will help us improve our programs for the next season.
