Our journey together is a short one... there is so much to do - in order to build Little Hearts and Minds! Each year I’m blessed with a mixture of Little Ones brought together for nine short months. The families in our community love and care for their children and with their support, we work together to begin growing Hearts and Minds!
The community as a whole, including some of the Little Ones in our Kindergarten Family were impacted by Hurricane Harvey this year.
Hurricane Harvey has changed this community and its families in many ways. With the negative changes brought on by this, families and their children will count on our Kindergarten Family for more love and encouragement!
I wish you could see the changes and growth made by this Kindergarten Family! We read, write, count, explore, investigate, listen, learn, and try to scatter kindness along the way!
My Project
Scatter Kindness - Grow From Mistakes - Powerful Words - Feelings - Perseverance - Friendship ... just a few of the pieces my children need to experience, talk-about, and reflect upon as they begin to be part of our classroom community.
Leading Growing Hearts as they learn to be a positive productive part of our world!
Great read-aloud books from authors and illustrators - Andi Green, Julia Cook, Maria Dismondy, and others will provide the opportunity to explore social and emotional learning. We will read the books together and make connections to the lessons. We will talk and walk through making better choices. My children will grow their hearts and minds, as they become Kind Thinkers.
Character Education matters!
Hurricane Harvey impacted many Little Ones, in ways visible and not visible. In addition to a devastating flood, children join our classroom family after experiencing many life altering events.
