Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten class is full of students who are ready to learn and eager to come to school each and every day. Many of my students have never been in a classroom environment until attending Kindergarten this year.
I teach in a Title I school where a majority of the students receive ESL services as well as free or reduced-price lunch.
Their access to resources and technology is limited within their homes. I want my classroom to be a place where students can access their learning through meaningful, enriching activities.
My Project
The materials I am requesting for this project will be used to make many different learning centers, activities, and stations. To support my students individual needs I make and create differentiated tasks for students to complete. This machine will allow for the easy creation of these tasks and more differentiation in the classroom!
The Brother ScanNCut machine allows me to easily make and create meaningful interactive games, activities, sorts, puzzles, and so much more to support my students learning!
I will be able to use the machine to create reading, math, science, social studies, and phonics learning resources for my students.
For example, when learning phonics it is best to create hands-on sorts and puzzles for students when they are learning to manipulate sounds and words. The ScanNCut will allow me to easily cut pieces in fun, colorful resources for the students to use as they practice their skills!
