When I say "Learning is..." my students respond with "FUN!" My students know that learning is fun and when we move from one subject to the next, they cheer with excitement! Our day begins with our morning meeting, which is a time for our students to say hello to one another and engage in fun and interactive activities to "get our brains ready" for the day. Our day ends with an ending circle, which is a time for our students to share appreciations with one another.
My Project
My students will benefit from a Brother Scan and Cut because I will be able to quickly and efficiently create classroom materials such as flash cards, bulletin boards, anchor chart icons, focus wall prompts, and visuals. I will also use the Scan and Cut to prepare our social studies and science learning expedition materials which, in the end, will allow me to have more time teaching and less time prepping materials! This will make a difference in my students' lives because I will be able to create specific visuals that coordinate with my literacy and math curriculums as well as our expeditions.
My students will also be able to use the materials created with the Scan and Cut during reading and math center time which will help to practice foundational skills as well as supporting the new concepts they are learning.
The Scan and Cut will be a welcomed addition to our classroom as it creates and prepares class materials, thus providing me more time to teach and interact with my students.
