SC Needs Clean Waterway Education!

My students need 6 books titles and art supplies including pencils, crayons, and markers to study how to clean the waterways of South Carolina.

I teach 2nd grade in the 5th highest crime area for its size in the United States. My students are all below the poverty level and are 99% African American. My school is desperately trying to raise literacy and to teach the students about South Carolina.

My students need books about South Carolina, Its parks and waterways. They need to learn how to keep the beautiful waterways clean and usable for future generations. We need South Carolina books as well as craft supplies that can build literacy and help them better environmentalists.

The best way to meet this environmental educational goal is to purchase South Carolina books with supplies they can use to create a plan to keep our waterways clean for all. Together with the books and materials I can show them how beautiful our state is and what a difference we as citizens of this great state can make. The science kits will help me show them how the environment relies on us to keep up our part and how fast it can be destroyed.

Together we can make a change for South Carolina and make the future generation care about the waterways that support our livelihood and hold our future. South Carolina is beautiful and together we can keep it that way for future generations.
