Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an energetic bunch of teens who love to socialize and have fun. Our Title I middle school is located in a high-poverty, working-class neighborhood. About 60% of our student body receives free or reduced-price lunch. My students come from a tough, gritty neighborhood in Northern California.
Our student body is a melting pot of cultures: Latino, Filipino, African-American, and Asian.
Many of our students live in poverty and have extremely difficult living situations. Please contribute to our classroom project to help these awesome students spread their knowledge, not unwanted germs, and to receive the very best education possible!
My Project
Absenteeism is a big hurdle to success in school. So, it's important to keep students from passing along germs to each other. When their work environment is clean, students are healthier and miss less school. Some students have a greater propensity for illness. Providing pocket-sized hand sanitizers and hand lotions will help them eliminate germs and dryness.
Having pocket-sized hand sanitizers and hand lotions in the classroom will help students to spread their knowledge and love of learning, not pesky germs and dryness.
