This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Have you ever filmed something only to realize that the technology you are using is out of date or not compatible? Our students are attempting to start a news program at school and have run into this issue with cameras and computers.
Our public high school serves approximately 1900 students.
These students come from a large military community with a variety of different cultural experiences and backgrounds. Many come from economically disadvantaged homes and will attend several different schools before completing high school. Despite these challenges, our students are actively engaged learners who thrive in a stimulating learning environment.
My Project
Our large student population is very active in many different sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities. We have a group of students eager to document these activities and share success with the rest of the student body. However, there have been many issues with compatibility between the computers we have and the cameras we have been letting the students use. Getting a new camera strictly for the Tiger TV club will make all the difference in their abilities to showcase student achievement.
High school is such an important time in a person's life.
By helping me provide the students at my school with the appropriate equipment, you are allowing students to create lasting memories that they will be able to keep and cherish for the rest of their lives.
