Our school is located in a rural Texas community. Our band program consists of students in grades 6-12. The students enjoy performing exciting shows for their school and their community. They take pride in their accomplishments while looking forward to presenting challenging and entertaining performances this upcoming season.
Band instills creativity, musicianship, and unity for our students.
Growing stronger each day, they instill their work ethic by practicing their music and learning to perform on their instruments, developing fluency for reading musical notation, as well as mentorship and camaraderie among students.
My Project
As our saxophonists grow as musicians the need for quality materials and equipment becomes a necessity. Unfortunately, many of our students cannot financially afford to purchase materials due to the high costs.
My jazz saxophonists need quality reeds.
Reeds are the basis for all saxophonists to perform at their optimal best. In order for students to perform and compete on their instruments, they must be able to perform at their best. Quality reeds are made from French cane which helps students to produce warm, characteristic tones on their saxophone as they are performing as soloists and as members of the ensemble.
