I am a teacher to a small yet wonderful group of kindergarten students. My school is defined as low socioeconomic, however we try not to let that stop us from learning. We may not have a lot but my students love school and work hard everyday.
Our computer center is one of the most popular centers in the classroom.
The students are allowed to use the computers everyday during center time. There are only 2 computers in my classroom. Both computers have seen better days. We had 3 computers however one is no longer working. The other two are running slow which makes it difficult to install computer programs.
I would really like to have tablets in my classroom for my students. Most of the students are familiar with tablets and how to use them. The tablets are portable and will take up less space in our classroom. The Innotab S3 is age appropriate for kindergarten students. They are kid friendly and will only allow them to access websites for kids. I also plan for students to use the camera to create videos for projects we are working on in class. They are also sturdy and durable for small hands.
I believe this project will make a great impact in my classroom.
Technology has given us so many advances and I want to bring this to my students. I want to expose my students to as much technology as possible. With your help, I can make learning fun for my students and bring a smile to their faces.
