My students need each of these items to help maintain focus and to also help keep their attention. The rug will be used for whole group instruction as well as a place for floor work.
This project will serve approximately 120 students. Students will love the opportunity to have unique sitting in our class. The population of our school is mostly made up of low income families. Our school has a large population of ESL students. Our students are very eager to learn and we believe that allowing students to express themselves by being able to choose to sit at different locations in our classroom will assist students in taking ownership of their learning and their environment.
Unique students deserve unique sitting.
Students will take pride in their learning experiences and enjoy sitting in much more comfortable seats. Flexible seating is a growing trend across the nation. Our school doesn't want to be left out and we want to share some of the great experiences that other schools have had due to flexible seating.
My Project
Students will be more engaged in their own learning while being comfortable and more relaxed. Fidget bands will help students who need to be in motion. The rug and floor tiles will be used for floor activities and whole group instruction. Inflatable chairs, bar stools and other higher sitting will be tiered to allow all students to view the board.
I think students will be more engaged in math if they are happy and comfortable.
This will not only improve student morale, but also grades and test scores! Win-Win! Sitting savvy with happy hineys and happy hearts for the win.
